The legislature and federal agencies have been busy in the first quarter, and the New York budget bill is just around the corner.
Come join us as we talk about some of the most important developments. We will cover recently enacted changes for who is an independent contractor and the new joint employer standard. We will also look at cases interpreting the new requirements for employee handbooks. We will cover details of the new OSHA rule, the Clean Slate Act, and other recently passed legislation. Then, we will look ahead to what is likely to come out of the budget bill from new rules for non-compete agreements to new guidance on weekly pay and rounding issues.
