What made you decide to be an attorney?

I had exposure to family court in my childhood and, as a result, was appointed an attorney to represent my interests as the child.  In what was an overwhelming situation, my attorney made me feel seen, heard and advocated for. That was my first personal experience with an attorney, and I knew then that I wanted to enter a profession where I could advocate for others, listen to their stories, and be a platform for their concerns just like my attorney was for me all those years ago.
