Christopher W. Rust

Christopher W. Rust is Special Counsel at Hinman, Howard & Kattell, LLP in our Albany, New York office. He is a seasoned litigation attorney who has represented clients in a broad range of matters including contract disputes, personal injury, medical and nursing home malpractice, collections, construction law, equine law and environmental law. At Hinman, Howard & Kattell, he works with the Construction law and litigation practice group. Chris is admitted in New York and Connecticut as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Eastern and Southern Districts of New York and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

Prior to joining Hinman, Howard & Kattell, Chris worked for law firms in the Albany Capital Region and in the Metropolitan New York City and surrounding suburb areas. He has served as Law Clerk for Judges in the Appellate Division, Second Department and the New York Court of Claims. He has extensive knowledge and experience with Court and Administrative hearings, proceedings and trials.

Chris is a Member of the Ethics Board for the Town of Niskayuna and previously served as a Member of the Board of Directors for the Niskayuna Consumers’ Cooperative Market.
