While our lawyers hail from all over the country, Hinman, Howard & Kattell actively and routinely recruits from the region's top law schools for our summer program. We also accept resumes from law students at other institutions starting in June each year. Interviews are typically scheduled for August and September. Decisions for our summer program are made in the fall.
Each year, two to four second-year law students are typically employed in our summer program. Summer associates work with many attorneys, performing research and preparing memoranda, briefs, pleadings, and other written materials on a variety of topics. Substantial effort is made to provide maximum exposure to all aspects of the firm's legal practice. The summer program is geared toward acquainting participants with our attorneys, support staff, work effort, and work environment. The program also allows the firm to evaluate summer associates for employment following law school.
